NexxGen Research
Next-generation solutions powered by agricultural science.
About Us
Agriculture has undergone significant changes over the past few generations, driven by an increasing global population, innovation, and evolving regulations. Yet, the art and science of cultivating soil and growing crops still require the same hard work, dedication, and values passed down by our parents and grandparents.
We are grateful for the opportunity to raise our family on a farm in the Sacramento Valley, working together to plant, irrigate, and harvest a variety of field, row, and nut crops.
Our passion for growing plants in a greenhouse environment began many years ago when our family cultivated fruiting vegetables and flower stock for local nurseries. While we cherished this sideline business, our focus eventually shifted to farming row and hay crops—always keeping the dream of “building another greenhouse” alive. Today, that dream is becoming a reality, and we are thrilled to offer a state-of-the-art greenhouse facility to support the agricultural community.
Who We Are
Located just a few miles west of Willows, CA, in the heart of the Sacramento Valley, NexxGen Research benefits from a Mediterranean climate characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters—ideal conditions for cultivating a wide range of crops.
NexxGen Research was founded to address the growing need for customized agricultural and nursery-related research in a greenhouse setting. In addition to greenhouse space, we also provide shaded or screened outdoor growing areas. Our facility is designed to simulate the environmental conditions growers face in many growing regions. We have the ability to induce stress conditions such as drought, heat, and salinity while measuring plant growth responses in targeted controlled experiments.
